OSWEGO, N.Y. -- Host Oswego got an early second-half goal Saturday in men's soccer and went on to hand Nazareth its first defeat of the season, 1-0, at Laker Field.
Nazareth is 2-1 overall while Oswego improved to 3-1.
Sophomore Mike Naab scored the game's lone goal, an unassisted tally in the 59th minute. He was able to elude a Nazareth defender and lofted a shot over the head of goalie
Kyle Connolly. The ball hit the far post and caromed into the goal.
Connolly finished with four saves for the Golden Flyers, who had an 11-8 advantage in shots. PJ Goodwin had four saves for the Lakers.
Nazareth plays again Tuesday at Fredonia at 7 p.m.
