TROY, N.Y. -- Sophomore
Katie Wyant was Nazareth top individual finisher Saturday as Nazareth's track and field teams completed the second day of competition at the NYSCTC Chamnpionships at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Wyant moved up to second place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00.23 as Nazareth finished ninth in the team standings with 16 points. Ithaca won the team title with 282 points. In the men's meet, Nazareth finished 10th with 11 points. Rensselaer was first with 180.
Senior
Kristi Custer also scored for Nazareth in two events. She finished sixth in the 100-meter dash (:13.28) and seventh in the triple jump (10.76 meters or 34 feet, 9 inches). Sophomore
Lauren Jamieson was eighth in the 1,500-meter run (4:58.12).
In the men's meet, freshman
Jake Lafaver wound up fifth in the 400-meter dash (:50.26) and junior
Dan Polino was eighth in the triple jump (12.74 meters or 41 feet, 9 inches).
