TROY, N.Y. -- Freshman Jake Lafaver, sophomore Katie Wyant and senior Kristi Custer each advanced to the finals in their respective events as Nazareth competed Friday at the NYSCTC meet at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Competing in the 400-meter dash, Lafaver posted the day's seventh fastest time with a clocking of :50.76 to advance to Saturday's final. He also competed in the 200-meter dash and had a time of :23.05.

Wyant reached the finals in the women's 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.24 and Custer made the finals in the 100-meter dash with a time of :13.11.
