ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth junior Dan Polino set three school records for the Golden Flyers as he finished in ninth place overall in the men's decathlon as part of the NYSCTC Multi competition held Sunday and Monday at Golden Flyer Stadium.

Polino amassed 5,022 points in the 10-event competition to break the old Nazareth record of 4,993 points held by Craig Connelly since 2007. Polino set a school record in the long jump on Sunday with a leap of 6.12 meters (20 feet, 1 inch), surpassing the record of 6.0 meters held by Adeola Amusan since 2005. On Monday, Polino broke the school pole vault mark with a height of 2.77 meters (9 feet).

On Monday, Polino posted times of :18.13 in the 110-meter hurdles and 4:35.03 in the 1,500-meter run respectively. He also competed in the discus (21.45 meters); the pole vault (2.77 meters) and the javelin throw (29.56 meters).

Rensselaer's Garrett Harms won the overall competition with a point total of 6,213.
