ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth junior
Dan Polino is in seventh place following the first day of competition at the NYSCTC Multi meet held Sunday at Nazareth's Golden Flyer Stadium.
With five more events to be contested Monday, Polino has amassed 2,903 points. Justin Spalik of St. Lawrence leads the competition with 3,197 points.
Polino's best performance came in the long jump as he finished second with a leap of 6.12 meters (20 feet, 1 inch). He also competed in the 100-meter dash (11.95); the shot put (9.25 meters), the high jump (1.69 meters) and the 400-meter dash (:53.69).
Monday's events are the 110-meter hurdles, the discus, the ole vault, the javelin throw and the 1,500-meter run. The rest of the NYSCTC meet will be contested May 6-7 at Hamilton.
