ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth resumed its outdoor track and field season Saturday at the Alumni Invitational hosted by the University of Rochester at Fauver Stadium.

Sophomores Mindy Niebuhr and Katie Wyant each posted second-place finishes. Niebuhr was second in the high jump with a leap of 1.58 meters (5 feet, 2 1/4 inches) and Wyant ran second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00.54.

Senior Kristi Custer competed in several events, including an eighth-place leap in the triple jump with a distance fo 10.11 meters (33 feet, 2 inches). She also finished 10th in the 100-meter dash (13.67), 15th in the 100-meter hurdles (18.03) and 18th in the 200-meter dash (28.18).

Freshman Bethany Atlhaus earned points in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with an eighth-place finish with a time of 13:03.07.

Top performer on the men's side was freshman Jake Lafaver, who finished third in the 400-meter dash in :50.55 and 11th in the 200-meter dash in :23.14.
