ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Freshman
Jake Lafaver was Nazareth top individual finisher Friday as Nazareth's indoor track and field team competed at the Orange and Brown Invitational at RIT's Gordon Field House.
Lafaver placed fourth in the 400-meter dash in :53.28 seconds and seventh in the 200-meter dash in :24.63 seconds. Senior
Matt Morales was 10th in the 5,000-meter run in 17:11.51. Junior
Dan Polino finished fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 12.88 meters (42 feet, 3 1/4 inches).
In the women's meet, senior triple jumper
Kristi Custer and sophomore high jumper
Mindy Niebuhr each won events.
Custer narrowly missed breaking her own school record in winning the triple jump. She leaped 11.12 meters (36 feet, 5 3/4 inches), less than two inches off her record of 36 feet, 7 inches set last year at RIT.
Niebuhr finished first in the high jump by clearing 1.58 meters or 5 feet, 2 1/4 inches. She was an inch below her own school record set two weeks ago at St. Lawrence.

Michelle Gillette, who finished third in the 5,000-meter run in 20:10.59; sophomore
Lauren Jamieson, who finished fourth in the 1,000-meter run in 3:19.25 and seventh in the mile in 5:34.98; sophomore
Katie Wyant, who finished fifth in the 400-meter dash in :63.18 and eighth in the 800-meter run in 2:30.48; senior
Heather Irish, who was ninth in the shot put with a distance of 8.72 meters (28 feet, 7 1/2 inches) and 13th in the weight throw with 9.51 meters (31 feet, 2 1/2 inches); and sophomore
Sarah Eichelberger, who finished 10th in the 200-meter dash in :28.66,
