ITHACA, N.Y. -- Nazareth resumed its men's and women's track and field season Saturday at the Robert J. Kane Invitational at Cornell University's Barton Hall.

No team scoring was kept, but Nazareth turned in some strong individual performances. In the men's meet, freshman Jake Lafaver was eighth in the 400-meter dash with a time of :51.42 seconds. Senior Matt Morales ran two races, running 18th in the 5,000-meter run in 16:15.83 and 38th in the 800-meter run in 2:06.92.

Sophomore Philip Schierer was 24th in the 500-meter run (1:12.16) and junior Dan Polino was 27th in the long jump with a leap of 5.79 meters (19 feet).

In the women's meet, sophomore Katie Wyant ran well by finishing eighth in the 400-meter dash in 1:03.69 and 19th in the 200-meter dash in :28.51 seconds. Sophomore Kelsey Mash ran eighth in the 500-meter run in 1:26.97 and sophomore Lauren Jamieson was 13th in the mile with a time of 5:38.09.
