GENESEO, N.Y. -- Visiting Nazareth scored goals in each half Wednesday and the Golden Flyers went on to blank Geneseo 2-0 in a non-conference men's soccer match.
The victory snapped a four-game losing streak for the Golden Flyers, who improved to 5-5 overall. Geneseo dropped to 6-4-1.
Nazareth had a 12-6 advantage in shots and finally got on the scoreboard in the 41st minute as sophomore
Ryan Foley delivered his second goal of the season as he finished off a crossing pass from sophomore
Luke Elston.
The Golden Flyers added an insurance goal in the 71st minute as sophomore
James Wheeler collected a loose ball in front of the goal and drilled it into an empty net for his fourth tally of the season.

Kyle Connolly has played every minute of each game in goal for the Golden Flyers this season and needed to make just one save in gaining his first shutout of the season. Nazareth has now won four of the last five meetings with the Blue Knights in men's soccer.
Nazareth resumes its Empire 8 Conference schedule Friday at St. John Fisher at 4 p.m.
