ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth split a pair of women's volleyball matches Friday during the first day of the Upstate Regional challenge hosted by the University of Rochester. Nazareth defeated Lycoming in four sets by scores of 25-16, 21-25, 25-22, 25-19 and then lost to New York University in three sets 25-20, 25-19, 25-20.
The Goldden Flyers are 23-11 overall and play two more matches Saturday -- vs. St. Lawrence at 1 p.m. and vs. Brockport at 3 p.m.
Against Lycoming, the Golden Flyers got nine kills from senior
Ashlee Travis and 41 assists from junior setter
Aubrey Cooke. Freshman
Olivia Harrigan added eight kills, junior
Amy Johnson had sevgen and junior libero
Brittany Crocetti had 15 digs.
In the NYU match, Johnson had nine kills and freshman #Chelsea Beecher had seven. Cooke had 29 assists.
