BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Host Medaille knocked off third-ranked Nazareth in a non-conference men's volleyball match Thursday. The Mavericks, ranked 12th nationally in the latest Division III poll released by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, won by scores of 27-25, 25-18, 25-23.

Nazareth slipped to 3-2 overall with its second straight defeat. Medaille improved to 6-0.

Senior middle hitter Will Siwy had nine kills and four blocks for the Golden Flyers, while senior outside hitter Hans Schroeder also had nine kills.

Sophomores EJ Wells-Spicer and Dan Mowery had 28 assists and six digs respectively.

Nazareth travels to Elmira Saturday for matches against sixith-ranked Philadelphia Biblical at 3 p.m. and Elmira at 5.
