Nazareth splits 2 more at Cortland

CORTLAND, N.Y. -- Nazareth's women's volleyball team split two more matches Saturday during the second day of the Red Dragon Invitational at Cortland. Thus the Golden Flyers return home with a 2-3 overall record after defeating St. Lawrence and falling to New Paltz.

Nazareth won in four sets against St. Lawrence 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-22, then lost to New Paltz in three 25-18, 25-23, 25-20.

Graduate student #Carra Vanderstyne represented the Golden Flyers on the all-tournament team as she equaled a team-best with 10 kills against St. Lawrence and five more against New Paltz. She also had 27 digs in the two matches.

Junior Ashlee Travis and sophomore Aubrey Cooke each had 10 kills in the win over the Saints. Senior Kristi Custer added eight kills and senior Megan Rogers had 17 digs and three aces. Sophomore setter Brittany Crocetti had 41 assists.

In the New Paltz match, , Custer and Travis each had six kills and Crocetti had 24 assists.

The Golden Flyers are home next weekend to host the two-day Nazareth Invitational.
