ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Neither team could score a goal through 110 minutes of regulation time men's soccer, but Nazareth was able to outscore Brockport 3-2 in penalty kicks Saturday to advance to Sunday's championship game of the seventh annual Doug May Classic at RIT.

The game officially goes into the books as a 0-0 tie with Nazareth advancing to play 4:30 p.m. Sunday against RIT, which tied Ithaca 1-1 and also advanced through penalty kicks with a 4-2 advantage over the Bombers.

Senior Rikesh Kotak, who went 4-for-4 on penalty kicks in 2009, made one of Nazareth's five attempts. Junior Rikesh Lad and freshman Ryan Foley also converted their attempts with Foley's kick clinching Nazareth's 3-2 advantage. Junior Sean Dorman and freshman James Wheeler also took kicks for Nazareth that missed.

Brockport, which will play Ithaca Sunday at 2 p.m., got penalty kick goals from Mike Breman and Jeff Palumbo on the first and last attempts respectively, but Christian Tychostup, Brian Humphrey and Chris Proukou  missed kicks in between.

Brockport dominated play during regulation and overtime with 13 shots to Nazareth's two, but Nazareth goalie Kyle Connolly made eight saves for the shutout in his first career start for the Golden Flyers. Brockport's Joe Marino needed to make just one save in getting credit for the shutout for the Golden Eagles.
