CLIFTON SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Senior Michelle Van Slyke had rounds of 79 and 80 over the weekend at Clifton Springs Country Club to lift Nazareth to a fourth-place finish at the William Smith Invitational for women's golf.

Van Slyke finished in second place individually with a 159 total to finish one stroke behind St. John Fisher's Alex Battle, who had a 158 total.

Nazareth finished fourth in the team standings with a two-day score of 826. Ithaca won the tournament with a score of 726.

Also playing for Nazareth were freshman Jamie Schmidt, who place ninth with a 183 total; and senior Jenee Vanderstyne, who was 16th with a 194 total.
