MACEDON, N.Y. -- Ithaca College shot a second consecutive round of 372 to finish with a 744 total and win the inaugural Empire 8 Women's Golf Championship by 44 strokes over runner-up St. John Fisher College. Nazareth finished in fourth place with a two-day total of 827.

Michelle Van Slyke was Nazareth's top scorer, finishing second with rounds of 80 and 87 for a 167 total. Alex Battle of St. John Fisher became the first Empire 8 Women's Golf Player of the Year, coming back from a four-shot deficit after the first round, with the tournament's best round, a 78 on Sunday.
Sophomore
Jenee Vanderstyne was next for Nazareth in fifth place overall after rounds of 86 and 92 for a 178 total.
