ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Visiting Fredonia scored twice in the second half Tuesday to rally past Nazareth for a 2-1 non-conference victory in men's soccer.
The victory was the first of the season for the Blue Devils, who improved to 1-5 overall. Nazareth dropped to 1-3-1 overall. The Golden Flyers are home again Saturday against Hamilton at 1 p.m.

Andrew Alaimo in the game's 30th minute. Freshman
John Kerr initiated the play with a cross from the right wing. Freshman
Simon Mounsdon took the first shot that was saved by Fredonia goalie Bobby McGinnis, but Alaimo was in front to kick in the rebound.
The momentum shifted dramatically in the second half as Fredonia generated most of the scoring chances before finally tying the score in the 77th minute. After a cross from the right wing was knocked down by Nazareth keeper
Kyle Connolly, Fredonia freshman Jake Persons gathered in the loose ball and fired a shot underneath Connolly to make it a 1-1 game.
Then with just over six minutes left in regulation, Fredonia scored again as Eli Lubberts converted a cross from Ryan O'Donnell to complete the Blue Devils' rally.
Fredonia's 17-14 overall shot advantage included a 13-4 edge in the second half. The Blue Devils also had five corner kicks to Nazareth's three. Goalies McGinnis and Connolly each had three saves.
