ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Host Nazareth defeated Sage in three sets (25-12, 25-19, 25-8) to finish the Golden Flyer Tournament with a 1-3 record. Sophomore

After its two matches Saturday, the Golden Flyers' record stands at 3-6 overall. Sage drops to 0-7 overall following the loss. Heidelberg, ranked 21st nationally, improved to 7-1 overall after defeating Nazareth Saturday morning.
In the Golden Flyers' match against the Gators, sophomore
Amy Johnson added six kills to the Golden Flyers' attack while sophomore
Christina Pelletier finished with a match-high 17 digs. Sophomore
Brittany Crocetti tallied a match-high 30 assists and had two service aces. Nazareth finished with an 11-2 advantage in service aces.
Sage was led by Nicole Corbett, who tallied seven kills. Joanie Cooney recorded 13 assists while Kelsey Wilson had 11 digs.
Against Heidelberg, senior
Kristi Custer led the host Golden Flyers with a team-high 10 kills, but Heidelberg's balanced attack defeated Nazareth in three sets (25-16, 25-21, 25-17).
In addition to the kills from Custer, Cooke finished with eight kills and tallied a team-high 12 digs. Graduate student
Carra Vanderstyne and Rogers each had 11 digs while Crocetti accumulated a team-high 24 assists. Crocetti also recorded eight digs.
Vanessa Haase led Heidelberg's balanced attack as she had a match-high 11 kills. Marian Bevington and Jackie Reinhard each contributed nine kills for the Student Princes. Rachel Ferguson recorded a match-high 30 assists while Brittany Donelan tallied a match-high 13 digs.
Nazareth returns to action September 17th for the RIT tournament.
