ROCHESTER, N.Y. --
Mark DeCirce, senior attackman on the Nazareth men's lacrosse team, has been named Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week for the seven-day period that ended April 25.
A native of Binghamton, N.Y. and a graduate of Binghamton High School, DeCirce had 10 points on eight goals and two assists in a pair of E8 Conference games for the Golden Flyers last week. He had four goals and one assist in a 14-10 victory over previously unbeaten St. John Fisher last Wednesday. He also had four goals and one assist in a 10-9 loss at Stevens last Saturday.
DeCirce leads the Golden Flyers (11-3 overall) in scoring for 2010 with 32 goals and 23 assists for 55 points. He ranks 15th all-time at Nazareth with 139 points, including 92 goals scored.
Nazareth is 6-1 in Empire 8 Conference action this season and hosts RIT Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Golden Flyers' final conference game of the season.
