HUMMELS WHARF, Pa. --  Nazareth remained in third place in the team standings Saturday following the third day of competition at the Empire 8 Tournament for men's golf, contested at Susquehanna Valley Country Club. The first two rounds were played Sept. 19-20 at Blue Heron Hills Country Club in Macedon.

Nazareth has a three-round team score of 954 and is behind Susquehanna (909) and St. John Fisher (919) heading into Sunday's final day of competition.

Sophomore Dylan Bedy was Nazareth's top individual as he was in a tie for third place with a third-round score of 79 for a three-round total of 229. Susquehanna's Mitch Mercer had a commanding lead with a three-round total of 214 after shooting 73 Saturday. Fishger's Brady Yates was second with a total of 225.

Other Nazareth competitors included freshman Mike Bufalini, who shot 89 Saturday for a three-round total of 240; senior Josh Maxwell, who shot 83 for a score of 241; junior Ben Herrmann, who shot 90 for a total of 249; sophomore Kyle Dacey, who shot 87 for a 271 total; and senior #R.C. Weston#, who shot 94 after not competing in the fall.
