ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. -- Sophomore
Dylan Bedy was Nazareth's top individual finisher Sunday as Nazareth's men's golf team completed the second round of the McDaniel Spring Invitational at The Bridges Golf Club.
The Golden Flyers finished 10th in the 15-team field with a two-day score of 658. Wesley edged Susquehanna for the team title by one stroke 621-622.
Bedy followed up a first-round score of 82 with a 7-over-par score of 79 Sunday to finish in a tie for 18th place with a 161 total. Senior
Josh Maxwell was one shot back with 76-86 -- 162.
Other Nazareth competitors were junior
Alex Delecroix (84-81 --165); junior
Ben Herrmann (82-90 -- 172) and freshman Mike Bufalini (86-88 -- 174).
In the women's tournament, Nazareth finished fifth in the team standings with a two-day score of 741. Junior
Michelle Van Slyke finished in a tie for fifth place with rounds of 88 and 85 for a 173 total. Kutztown won the team title with a score of 706. St. John Fisher's Alex Battle was the medalist with a total of 160.
Senior
Meaghan Hardy tied for 10th place with scores of 88 and 90 for a 178 total. Seniors
Lisa Nazarenko (99-94 -- 193) and
Kate Holland (100-97 -- 197) also competed.
