E8 honors again for McAdam

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Corey McAdam, senior guard on the Nazareth men's basketball team, has been Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season.

A native of Fairport, N.Y. and a graduate of Fairport High School, McAdam helped Nazareth to two more victories last weekend as the Golden Flyers improved to 10-3 in conference play and 15-7 overall.

McAdam averaged 23.5 points per game, shooting 56 percent from the field and hitting 18 of 19 free throws. He scored 20 points to go with nine assists and three steals in a 75-60 win over Hartwick Friday. He followed that with 27 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in a 91-85 victory over Ithaca Saturday.

McAdam leads the Golden Flyers in scoring and assists at 21.5 points and 5.5 assists per game. He also surpassed the 1,700-point mark in career scoring and ranks fourth all-time with 1,733.

Nazareth plays again Tuesday at RIT at 8 p.m.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Honors continue to roll in for Nazareth basketball standout #Corey McAdam#. The senior guard from Fairport, N.Y. became Nazareth's first-ever first-team All-American Wednesday as he was chosen by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
