ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Junior
Kristi Custer broke her own school record in the triple jump Friday as Nazareth competed at the Last Chance Invitational for men's and women's track and field at RIT's Gordon Field House.
Custer broke her own mark for the third time this season as she was Nazareth's lone first-place finisher with a leap of 11.02 meters, which equals 36 feet, 2 inches.
Other Nazareth competitors included freshman
Mindy Niebuhr, who was third in the high jump (1.52 meters or 4 feet, 11 3/4 inches); freshman
Lauren Jamieson, who ran third in the mile (5:30.41); sophomore
MIchelle Gillette, who was fourth in the 3,000-meter run (11:27.99); and sophomore
Deb Morey, who was fourth in the long jump (4.65 meters or 15 feet, 3 1/4 inches).
In the men's meet, graduate student
Robby Castor finished second in the 800-meter run (2:00.33) while sophomore
Peter Fekete competed in both the mile (20th in 4:49.89) and the 3,000-meter run (12th in 9:58.87).
