ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Sophomore
Amy Johnson had 19 kills in 38 attempts for a .421 hitting percentage Wednesday as host Nazareth outlasted St. John Fisher in a non-conference women's volleyball match. The Golden Flyers won in five sets by scores of 25-15, 24-26, 25-18, 25-27, 15-13.
Nazareth improved to 11-13 with its second win of the season over the Cardinals. Fisher dropped to 12-10.
Johnson had just three hitting errors for the Golden Flyers, who hit .211 as a team. She also had two service aces, six digs and two blocks.

Kristi Custer added 16 kills and graduate student
Carra Vanderstyne had 10 kills and a match-best 20 digs. Sophomore setter
Brittany Crocetti had 48 assists to go with six kills.
Becca Smith had a match-high 20 kills for Fisher and Sydney Kandefer added 13 kills. Amy Street had 38 assists.
Nazareth is idle until Oct. 16-17 when the Golden Flyers travel to the Salisbury Tournament.
