ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Golden Flyers had a three-game winning streak snapped in field hockey Wednesday as visiting Geneseo scored early in overtime to hand Nazareth a 1-0 non-conference defeat. Nazareth's overall record dropped to 3-5, while Geneseo moved to 9-1.

Kelsey Evans made a career-high 27 saves for the Golden Flyers. The Knights' sophomore goalie Caitlin Dowell saved two shots against Nazareth.

Elise Maryanopolis had all three of the Golden Flyers' shots, including one in the opening seconds of overtime that was saved by Dowell. She also had a shot in the first half that sailed wide and another late in the second half that also was saved by Dowell.
With 11:23 left on the clock in overtime, senior foward Stephanie Maisonet scored for Geneseo. Senior Michelle Milkovich passed to the left of the goal, leaving Maisonet in the perfect position to shoot past Evans and end the game. It was Maisonet's fifth goal of the season.
The Golden Flyers face off against conference rival Washington & Jefferson in a home game on Saturday at noon.
