ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Fifth-ranked Stevens scored one goal in the first half and three goals in the second half to defeat host Nazareth 4-0 in an Empire 8 men's soccer game. Nolan Sandberg, the reigning Empire 8 Player of the Year, scored all four of the Ducks' goals.
Following the loss, the Golden Flyers drop to 3-6-2 overall and 2-1 in conference games. Stevens remains unbeaten with the victory. The Ducks' record now stands at 7-0-2 overall and 2-0-1 in Empire 8 contests.

John Kerr had a scoring opportunity as he placed a corner kick on goal, but Ducks' goalkeeper Zach Carr deflected it over the crossbar. Nazareth continued to put offensive pressure on Stevens, but were unable to connect on their shots.
In the second half, Sandberg scored his second and third goals of the game in the 58th minute and the 59th minute. On both goals, Victor Daza found Sandberg with a leading pass to set him up with the scoring opportunities. Sandberg tallied his fourth goal of the game, and eighth of the season, after a controversial penalty was called in the Golden Flyers' penalty area. Sandberg converted on the penalty kick to give the Ducks a 4-0 advantage with about 17 minutes remaining in regulation.
Nazareth pressured Stevens throughout the second half, but were unable to find the back of the net. In their seven games, the Ducks have still not let an opponent score. Senior
Rikesh Kotak finished with a team-high five shots, including several headers that went just wide. Junior
Liam Connolly also had a scoring chance as he hit the left post on a shot with about 25 minutes remaining in regulation.
Kyle Connolly finished with six saves for the Golden Flyers while Carr recorded eight saves for Stevens. The Ducks finished with a 23-19 advantage in shots, but Nazareth held a 10-6 advantage in corener kicks.
The Golden Flyers host Geneseo Wednesday afternoon in their next contest. The non-conference game begins at 4 p.m.
