ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Senior guard
Corey McAdam has been honored as Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week for men's basketball for the seven-day period that ended Jan. 17.
McAdam, of Fairport, N.Y. and a graduate of Fairport High School, averaged 23 points, five rebounds and three assists in three games last week, helping the Golden Flyers to a fifth-place finish in the annual Wendy's College Classic.
McAdam's week included a 38-point performance in 1 96-84 victory over Brockport last Saturday in a game in which he set a school record by sinking 19 free throws. He was also named to the all-tournament team.
McAdam leads the Golden Flyers in scoring at 20.5 points per game and has helped the team to an 11-5 overall record. Nazareth resumes its Empire 8 Conference schedule Friday with a home game against Elmira at 8 p.m.
