ELMIRA, N.Y. -- Senior
Kelly Flanagan scored both goals for visiting Nazareth Saturday, including the game-winning tally in overtime, as the Golden Flyers prevailed over Elmira in Empire 8 Conference field hockey action, 2-1.
The victory was the Golden Flyers' second in a row and evened their conference record at 1-1 and upped their overall mark to 5-3. Elmira is 0-6 overall and 0-2 in E8 games.
Flanagan's second goal was her team-leading fourth of the season and 38th of her career and came off a rebound of her own shot less than seven minutes into the first overtime.
Although Nazareth dominated the game statistically with a 29-9 advantage in shots and a 13-10 edge in penalty corners, the game remained scoreless until 5:10 remained in regulation as Flanagan converted a crossing pass from freshman Kailee O'Hara.
Flanagan's second goal became necessary when Elmira scored the equalizing goal with exactly one minute remaining in regulation as Jessica Kischko scored off a penalty corner that originated from Sarah Torilli.

The Golden Flyers return to action Tuesday for a non-conference game at Brockport at 4 p.m.
