Cole gains scholar-athlete honor

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Alex Cole, senior midfielder on the Nazareth men's lacrosse team, was honored recently by the United Stats Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association as a scholar All-American. He was recognized for the honor at last month's All-American banquet in Boston.
Cole, of Cincinnati, Ohio and a graduate of Indian Hill High School, played in all 18 games for the Golden Flyers in 2009 and finished with four goals and 10 assists with a team-high 72 ground balls. He also served as team captain and was selected as a second-team Empire 8 Conference all-star. He also competed in the North/South Senior all-star game.
In the classroom, Cole completed his college career with a 3.5 grade-point average as a Business Administration major. He also served as a member of Nazareth's Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
