GENEVA, N.Y. -- Host William Smith swept Nazareth in women's tennis action Thursday as the Herons improved to 5-2 overall while the Golden Flyers slipped to 8-9.
William Smith's Chelsea Rauck defeated Nazareth's
Rachel Leonard 7-6, 6-0 at first singles. In another close match, William Smith's Amanda Slack defeated
Elizabeth Way 6-4, 6-4 at third singles.
In doubles, the closest match was at #1 where Rauck and Joanie Hilton defeated Leonard and
Kelly Noble 8-5.
Nazareth hosts St. Lawrence Saturday.
