ELMIRA, N.Y. -- Senior
Matt Dalton posted his best score of the year Saturday in Empire 8 Conference Tournament for men's golf as he had nine-hole scores of 40 and 36 for a total of 76 to stand in third place.
Only Elmira's Brandon Christo (73) and St. John Fisher's Tyler McArdell (74) posted better scores than Dalton Saturday at Elmira's Mark Twain Country Club. Fisher had the top team score at 315, followed by Elmira (32o), Nazareth (341), Stevens (352) and Utica (385). Play resumes Sunday.
Other competitors for Nazareth included senior
Josh Maxwell, who was tied for 10th place with 83; sophomore
Ben Herrmann and freshman Frank McGuigan, who were tied for 18th with 91; junior R.C Weston, who shot 93; and graduate student
Mark Chambers, who shot 96.
