Shannon Bradley and senior
Melissa Cutcliffe each broke school records Saturday as Nazareth's track and field teams resumed their outdoor seasons at the Alumni Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan.
Bradley placed third in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 42:18.72 as she shattered the previous mark by more than three minutes. Sophomore
Sarah Wilcox finished fourth in the same race with a time of 43:52.25.
Cutcliffe finished fifth in the long jump with a leap of 5.04 meters (16 feet, 6 1/2 inches) to break her won school record by nearly four inches. Cutcliffe also placed fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of :13.01.
Other top competitors included senior
Lauren Glaser, who placed sixth in the 800-meter run (2:24.62), graduate student
Jessica Brown, who finished 11th in the 1,500-meter run (5:11.77); and freshman
Deb Morey, who finished eighth in the 100-meter hurdles (:17.50).
In the men's meet, senior
Robby Castor finished second in the 1,500-meter run in 4:03.05. Junior
Matt Case was second in the 400-meter dash (:50.31) and third in the 200-meter dash (:22.94).
Sophomore
Matt Morales placed 10th in the 5,000-meter run (16:21.65) and freshman
Peter Fekete was 10th in the 10,000-meter run (34:29.93).
