Lauren McKinney will represent Nazareth at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships March 18-21 at the University of Minnesota.
McKinney, of Watertown, N.Y. and a graduate of Watertown High School, will be competing at the national meet for the second year in a row after qualifying in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:06.30. She is seeded 10th in that event and also will compete in the 100-yard butterfly (:57.03) and the 200-yard butterfly (2:08.25).
Conklin, of Reading Center, N.Y. and a graduate of Watkins Glen High School, made it as the 20th seed in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of :57.31. She also will compete in the 200-yard butterfly (2:30.26) and the 100-yard freestyle (:54.19).
McKinney competed last year at Miami University in Ohio and finished 23rd in the 200 fly, 26th in the 100 fly and 41st in the 200 IM. She placed second in both the 200 IM and 100 fly and fourth in the 200 fly at the Upper New York State Championship meet two weeks ago.
Conklin finished third in the 100 fly, eighth in the 50 free and 12th in the 100 free at the UNYSCSA meet.
