BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Visiting Nazareth had little difficulty improving its overall record to 15-4 in men's volleyball Wednesday as the Golden Flyers swept North East Collegiate Volleyball Assocation rival D'Youville in three sets. Scores were 30-16, 30-22, 30-17.
Nazareth, ranked seventh nationally in Division III, improved to 7-0 in conference matches. D'Youville, which lost to Nazareth for the second time this season is 8-7 overall and 3-3 in conference play.
Nazareth committed only five hitting errors, and finished the match with a stellar .521 hitting percentage. Freshman
Billy Gimello, the reigning Division III Player of the Week, was the Golden Flyers' top offensive performer, tallying 12 kills and two service aces.
Seniors
Joe Petzoldt,
Kelvin Rolle and
Chris DeHority each finished with five kills. Rolle picked up a match-high three blocks and DeHority snared a match-high eight digs.
Junio
Kevin Kirchhoff had 29 assists. Nazareth is home Wednesday to play Hilbert at 7 p.m.
