ROCHESTER, N.Y. --
Corey McAdam, junior guard on the Nazareth men's basketball team, has been selected as a first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star for the second year in a row. The selections were made through voting by the league's nine head coaches. Senior forward
Ryan McAdam also represented the Golden Flyers as a second-team all-conference selection.
Corey leads the Golden Flyers in several statistical categories, including scoring (18.7 ppg.), assists (7.7 per game) and steals (2.5 per game). He also averaged 6.1 rebounds per game and shot 51.6 percent from the field (166-for-322). He surpassed the 1,000-point mark in career scoring earlier in the season and enters this weekend's Empire 8 Conference Tournament with 1,215 points. He also broke Nazareth's all-time mark for steals and currently has 225.
Ryan is the Golden Flyers' leading rebounder (8.6 per game) and second leading scorer (17.8) in 2008-09. He also leads in three-point field goals made (58) and free-throw percentage (80 for 92, .870). He, too, surpassed the 1,000-point mark in career scoring this season and enters this weekend's action with 1,304 points.
