SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Junior
Lauren McKinney (Watertown, NY) and freshman
Jaclyn Conklin (Reading Center, NY) finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the finals of 100 butterfly at the Upper New York State Collegiate Swimming Association Championships at Nottingham High School Friday.
McKinney's time was :57.03 and Conklin :57.31, both improving on their preliminary times of :58.10.
Junior
Erin Rappold (Niskayuna, NY) finished 3rd in the 400 yard IM with a time of 4:38.74, shaving five seconds off her preliminary time.
The 200 yard medley relay team of freshman
Sara Weigel (Henrietta, NY), junior
Jeanne Falco (Syracuse, NY), McKinney, and freshman
Holly Gilligan (Newark, NY) placed 5th with a time of 1:51.02. The 800 yard free relay team of Rappold, McKinney, Weigel, and Conklin also finished 5th with a time of 7:55.91.
Falco also finished 8th in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:09.21.
After the second day of competition Nazareth is in 4th place with 615 points behind leader Ithaca (887), Stevens (779), and Union (694). The competition concludes tomorrow.
