BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Seventh-ranked Nazareth remained unbeaten in North East Collegiate Volleyball Association action Tuesday as the Golden Flyers defeated 15th-ranked Medaille for the second time this season. Nazareth won the match in four games by scores of 30-16, 30-20, 19-30, 30-18.

Nazareth improved to 11-3 overall and 6-0 in the NECVA Western Division. Medaille dropped to 7-8 overall.

Senior Joe Petzoldt produced 11 kills with seven digs and four blocks to lead the Golden Flyers. Senior setter Frank Leahy delivered 42 assists and eight blocks. Other top contributors included freshman Billy Gimello with 10 kills and five blocks; junior Brian Bunch with eight kills and eight digs and senior Chris DeHority with 11 digs.

Nazareth plays again this weekend at the Vassar Invitational. The Golden Flyers play Elms College at 6 p.m. Friday and Johnson & Wales at 8. Saturday matches are against Philadelphia Biblical and third-ranked Vassar.
