ALFRED, N.Y. -- Four players contributed double digit point totals for visiting Nazareth Tuesday as the Golden Flyers won their sixth straight men's basketball game, 80-66, over Alfred.
Nazareth improved to 10-11 overall and 7-5 in the Empire 8. The Golden Flyers remained in a three-way tie for third place in the conference standings as St. John Fisher and Utica each recorded victories. Nazareth visits Utica Friday for an 8 p.m. game. Alfred is 7-14 overall and 2-10 in conference games.
Nazareth defeated Alfred for the second time this season as senior
Ryan McAdam continued his hot shooting with game highs in points (26) and rebounds (15). He shot 9 for 15 from the field, including 4 for 8 from three-point range.

Jeff DeHimer made 9 of 13 shots for 19 points to go with six rebounds. Junior
Corey McAdam contributed 15 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals and freshman
Phil Scaffidi scored a career-best 13 points.
Nazareth never trailed in the game as the Golden Flyers scored 10 of the first 12 points and led by as many as 14 points in the first half. It was 35-21 after
Ryan McAdam drilled a three-pointer with 1:52 left in the half. The Saxons were able to close within 10, 37-27, at halftime. McAdam had 21 of his points in the first 20 minutes.
Alfred rallied to within three points, 50-47, following two free throws by Gary Kwiecien with 13:57 to go. Nazareth then scored the next five points, including a three-pointer by Scaffidi, to push the lead back to eight points, 55-47, with 12:44 left.
Nazareth made 27 of 65 shots (41.5 percent) and had a 47-31 rebounding advantage.
Bobby Barry scored 16 points to lead Alfred. Jared Patt added 13 and Mike Stopera had 12.
