Conte makes all-region team

ROCHESTER, N.Y. --
Erica Conte, junior midfielder on the Nazareth women's soccer team, has been selected to the Division III East Region all-star team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Conte, of Caledonia, N.Y. and a graduate of Caledonia-Mumford High School, was named to the second team after leading the Golden Flyers in scoring in 2009 with 20 points on eight goals and four assists. She came back strong for the Golden Flyers after missing most of the 2008 season with a knee injury.
Conte also was honored in 2009 as a first-ream Empire 8 Conference all-star. She was E8 Rookie of the Year as a freshman in 2007.
Nazareth finished with an overall record of 11-7-1 in 2009 and was second in the Empire 8 Conference standings.
