ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth got a fourth-place finish from its 400-yard freestyle relay team of R.C. Weston, Jacob Kline, Dan Walton and Rob Wortel. Their time of 3:16.86 was more than 16 seconds faster than their previous best this year.

Other top performers were Wortel, who was eighth in the 50 freestyle (:22.31) and freshman Mike Bidwell, who was sixth in the 200 IM (2:07.72). Nazareth finished sixth in the team standings with 435 points in the three-day event. Alfred won the competition with 747 points.

In the women's competition, Nazareth's 400-yard freestyle relay team of Rachael Phipps, Lauren McKinney, McKenna Murphy ad Jaclyn Conklin turned in a first-place finish to enable the Golden Flyers to maintain their second-place standing.

The first-place finish, achieved by a fraction of a second over Ithaca, helped the Golden Flyers finish with 852 points during the three-day event. Ithaca finished first with 933.

Phipps also finished fourth for Nazareth Dunsay in the 50-yard freestyle (:25.33), while McKinney, Carissa Risucci and Murphy finished 2-4-5 in the 200-yard IM. McKinney posted a time of 2:12.35.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Nazareth completed its men's swimming and diving season Sunday at the Upper New York State Collegiate Swimming Association championships at Nottingham High School. The Golden Flyers finished 12th in the team standings with 289.50 points. Stevens overtook Union for the team title with 1,157 points to Union's 1,146.

Nazareth was in 13th place in the overall team standings with 85.50 points.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Senior #R.C. Weston# won the 200 backstroke in 2:05.63 and was Nazareth's only individual winner Saturday in men's swimming and diving as the Golden Flyers closed out their regular season with a 180-98 loss at RIT. Nazareth won the women's meet, 158-139 to finish 9-0.

The Golden Flyers also swam against St. Lawrence and lost by a close score of 135-120.
