ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Freshman swimmer
Carissa Risucci is ranked sixth nationally in the 200-yard breaststroke, based on a first-place finish she recorded in that event at the Don Richards invitational at RIT earlier this month.
Risucci posted an NCAA B-cut qualifying time of 2:22.97, which also broke Nazareth's school record by nearly three seconds. Risucci also ranks 25th in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.74).
Senior
Lauren McKinney, an NCAA meet qualifier the past two seasons, is nationally ranked in three events/ She is 14th in the 200 butterfly (2:09.24), 22nd in the 100 butterfly (:58.49) and 38th in the 200 IM (2:12.35).
Nazareth also is ranked in three relays. The Golden Flyers' 800-yard free relay team of
Rachel Hayes,
McKenna Murphy, McKinney and
Jaclyn Conklin is ranked 22nd with a time of 8:03.30. In the 400 medley relay, Nazareth is ranked 28th with a time of 4:06.82. That group features
Rachael Phipps, Risucci, McKinney and Conklin. Nazareth also ranks 29th in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:40.50. Phipps, McKinney, Murphy and Conklin are featured in that event.
Nazareth's next meet is Jan. 9 at the University of Rochester.
