LETCHWORTH, N.Y. -- Nazareth's men's and women's cross country teams completed their respective seasons Saturday at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional meet at Letchworth State Park.
Nazareth's women's team, paced by freshman
Kelsey Ryan, finished in 17th place in the 33-team field. The men's team, led by junior
Matt Morales finished in 23rd place among 38 teams. St. Lawrence won the women's race with 43 points with Geneseo second with 79. Nazareth had 555. Cortland won the men's race with 49 points with Geneseo finishing second with 64. Nazareth finished with 738.
Ryan finished in 94th place for the women's team with a time of 24:38.3 for 6 kilometers. Next for Nazareth was sophomore Michelle Gillete in 104th place (24:47.9) and senior #Shannon Bradley in 109th place (24:57.6). Other Nazareth competitors were junior
Samantha Hickok in 123rd place (25:11.1); junior
Sarah Wilcox in 125th place (25:13.9); senior
Caitlyn Parmelee in 127th place (25:26.7); and freshman
Kelsey Mash in 129th place (25:28.6).
In the men's 8-kilometer race, Morales finished in 70th place with a time of 26:52.1. Sophomore
Peter Fekete was next in 125th place (27:54.1), followed by freshman
John Longo in 153rd place (28:25.1); freshman
Anthony Romeo in 179th place (28:53.8); sophomore
Tim Rutan in 211th place (29:47.7) and freshman
Josh Strough in 212th place (29:49.2).
