LA VERNE, Calif. -- Nazareth dropped a pair of women's volleyball matches Friday during the first day of the Leopard Invitational at the University of La Verne.
The Golden Flyers had a 10-match winning streak snapped in a five-set loss to New York University in the first match. Scores were 23-25, 21-25, 25-22, 25-15, 15-10. It marked NYU's third victory over the Golden Flyers this season. Senior

Mallorie Clary had 22 digs, but the Golden Flyers couldn't overcome 34 hitting errors, which resulted in a negative hitting percentage for the match.
In their second match, the Golden Flyers lost to host La Verne in three sets 25-14, 25-14, 25-23. Nazareth managed only 21 kills in the match.
Nazareth plays two more matches Saturday -- at 2:30 p.m. eastern time against ninth-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater and at 7:30 p.m. against Chapman.
