VICTOR, N.Y. -- A strong second-round effort enabled Nazareth's men's golf team to move up to fourth place in the final team standings at the ECAC Division III Upstate/Metro Championships at Ravenwood Golf Club.

Tied for fifth place after Saturday's first round, Nazareth, bolstered by a round of 70 by sophomore Dylan Bedy, posted a team score of 303 Sunday to finish with a two-day total of 618. St. John Fisher finished first with a score of 583. New York University was second (595) and Potsdam was third (606).

Bedy moved up nine places after Sunday's 2-under-par 70 to finish in ninth place individually with a two-day score of 149. Freshman Michael Bufalini had rounds of 80 and 75 to finish with a 155 total, good for a tie for 21st place individually.

Other Nazareth competitors were junior Ben Herrmann, who went 76-80 for a 156 total and a tie for 24th place; senior Josh Maxwell, who went 80-78 for a 158 total and a tie for 28th place; and senior R.C. Weston, who went 90-83 for a 173 total and 51st place.

Nazareth concludes its fall schedule with its own tournament at Irondequoit Country Club next Sunday and Monday.
