ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Empire 8 Conference's Defensive Player of the Week award for women's soccer has developed into a one-person honor as Nazareth goalkeeper Hillary Simon was honored this week for the fourth time this season.

Simon posted two more shutouts last week for the Golden Flyers, who have won four straight heading into Tuesday's non-conference home game against Geneseo. Simon lowered her goals-against average to 0.90 and elevated her save percentage to. .867 in wins over RIT and Utica. She has four shutouts this season and 15 for her career.

Nazareth closes its regular-season schedule Saturday at Stevens at 1:30 p.m. The Golden Flyers already have clinched the second seed for next month's Empire 8 Conference Tournament. Nazareth will play St. John Fisher in a semifinal match-up at Ithaca Nov. 7.
