ONEONTA, N.Y. -- Visiting Nazareth scored once in each half Saturday as the Golden Flyers scored a 2-0 women's soccer victory over Hartwick.
Nazareth improved to 4-1 in the Empire 8 Conference and 8-4-1 overall. Hartwick is 3-3 in conference games and 4-8 overall.

Kerry Gannon scored Nazareth's first goal on a penalty kick midway through the first half. The shot resulted when Nazareth's
Chelsea Kuss was dragged down in the penalty area. It was Gannon's first goal of the season.
Kuss added an unassisted goal in the second half as she converted her own rebound in the 75th minute.
Nazareth had a 21-8 advantage in shots and got six saves from junior goalkeeper Hillary Sumon, who recorded her second shutout of the season and 13th of her career.
"Hartwick was a very athletic and dangerous team," said Nazareth Coach
Gail Mann. "I am happy to come away with a win."
Nazareth has four regular-season games left, including a conference home game against RIT Wednesday at 4 p.m.
