ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth's men's golf team closed out its fall schedule Monday by finishing fourth at the Nazareth Invitational at Irondequoit Country Club.
Nazareth turned in back-to-back team scores of 325 for a two-day total of 650 to finish fourth in the six-team field. Washington & Jefferson won the team title with scores of 302 and 309 for a two-day total of 611. University of Rochester was second (620) and Allegheny finished third (630). Hobart (653) and Elmira (658) also competed.
Senior
Josh Maxwell was Nazareth's top individual finisher with rounds of 76 and 85 for a two-day total of 161, good for a tie for 12th place. Freshman
Michael Bufalini finished 18th with back-to-back scores of 81 for a 162 total.
Other Nazareth players were sophomore
Dylan Bedy (84-80 -- 164); junior
Ben Herrmann 84-82 -- 166) and freshman
Jay Stith (88-82 -- 170).
Washington & Jefferson's Brad Cieslinski was the individual champion as he followed up an even-par 72 from Sunday with a 3-over-par 75 Monday for a 147 total, good for a four-stroke win.
