ITHACA, N.Y. -- Host Ithaca remained unbeaten in women's tennis Saturday as the Bombers won all three doubles matches on their way to an 8-1 Empire 8 Conference victory over Nazareth.
The Golden Flyers fell to 4-5 overall and 4-3 in Empire 8 matches. Ithaca is 7-0 overall and 6-0 in conference matches.
Senior
Elizabeth Way secured Nazareth's lone point with a tie-breaking win at third singles. She won the first set 6-4 over Ithaca's Elizabeth Cohen, then dropped the second 6-7. She won the tiebreaker 10-7.
Ithaca also won a close match at second doubles as Agata Kubik and Cohen defeated Nazareth's
Alexandra Vizgaitis and
Kelly Noble. 9-8.
Nazareth visits Utica Sunday.
