ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- After junior
Corey McAdam tied the game 69-69 with two free throws with 1:10 remaining in the game, fourth-seeded St. John Fisher outscored seventh-seeded Nazareth 7-2 in the final minute to win the JPMorgan Chase men's basketball tournament 76-71. McAdam finished with a team-high 21 points, and added eight assists and seven rebounds.

Jordan Major earned second-team honors.
The Cardinals finished the first half with a 15-4 scoring run to take a 40-31 lead at halftime. Senior
Ryan McAdam tallied eight points and six rebounds in the first half to keep the Golden Flyers close during the Cardinals' scoring runs.
Fisher led by 13 early in the second half, 46-33, but the Golden Flyers continued to chip away at the Cardinals' lead. Senior
Jeff DeHimer cut Fisher's lead to 52-48, but Connor Henderson answered with a three-pointer to stretch the Cardinals' lead to seven points.
Corey McAdam converted two three-point plays to keep the Golden Flyers within one basket with about five minutes remaining in the game. Nazareth was able to tie the score three times -- first at 64 on a three-pointer by Major and lastly at 69 on two free throws by Corey McAdam with 1:10 to play.
In between, Nazareth had chances to take the lead. Ryan McAdam missed the second of two free throws with the score tied at 67 with 2:16 left and freshman Jason Corletta missed two free throws with 1:45 to play and the score still tied.
After Michael Wopperer gave the Cardinals a 71-69 lead with under a minute to play, Jordan Gettings and Ozell Franklin, and Matt Newman combined for five free throws to stretch Cardinals' lead in the final seconds.
Corey McAdam scored the Golden Flyers' final points with a layup to reach 1,000 career points.
Ryan McAdam finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds while Major was Nazareth's third player in double digits with 13 points.
Fisher had five players in double digits, led by Newman with 17 points and Witte with 14 points.
Nazareth resumes to its Empire 8 schedule next week as the Golden Flyers host Utica Friday evening and travel to Fisher for a Saturday afternoon game.
