With the loss, Nazareth drops to 0-1 in the Empire 8 and 3-5-1 overall. The Cardinals improved to 1-0 in the conference and 3-5 overall.
Brad Ervin put Fisher on the board 18 minutes into the game after he received a pass from Ryan Palmer. About eight minutes later, Andrew McIntosh added an unassisted goal to extend the Cardinals' lead to 2-0. Senior
Justino Flores set up Alaimo's first goal at the 29:58 mark to cut Nazareth's deficit to one goal heading into the second half.
Ervin tallied his second goal about 10 minutes into the second half to reclaim Fisher's two-goal lead. After a Cardinals' foul, junior #Christopher Löfgren# sent a direct kick into the penalty area, which Flores headed past Fisher's goalkeeper to cut the Cardinals' lead to 3-2 with about 35 minutes to play.
Luke Lennox and Robert Wick each tallied one goal for Fisher to stretch the Cardinals lead to 5-2 late in the second half. Alaimo tallied his second goal for the Flyers less than a minute after Wick's goal, but Nazareth was not able to cut further into its deficit.

Ryan Platt made four saves for Nazareth in about 76 minutes of playing time. Junior
Trey Barresi played the final 14 minutes in net for the Golden Flyers. Adam Durst made seven saves for the Cardinals to earn the victory.
Nazareth had an 18-15 edge in shots, as it recorded 13 in the second half. St. John Fisher, however, had a 9-5 advantage in corner kicks.
The Golden Flyers travel to Fredonia for a non-conference game in their next match, September 30th.
