ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth had little difficulty in defeating visiting Alfred in women's soccer Tuesday as the Golden Flyers had eight different players score at least one goal in a record-breaking 11-0 win. Sophomores

Erica Conte and
Meghan Finn each tallied two goals to lead the Golden Flyers.
Nazareth set a single-game record with the 11 goals in its fourth straight win and improved to 5-2 overall and 1-0 in the Empire 8 Conference. The Saxons dropped to 3-3 overall and 0-1 in conference games.
Conte scored the Golden Flyers' first goal at 17:00 after receiving a pass from senior
Rachel Cushman. Nazareth freshmen
Kerry Gannon and
Kaylee Benz each recorded their first career goals to extend the Flyers' first half lead. Rivera also scored both of her goals in the first half to give Nazareth a 5-0 lead at the break.
The Golden Flyers continued to enforce its will on Alfred in the second half. Conte scored her second goal of the game less than two minutes into the period and freshman
Jenny Garrison netted her first career goal with just over 20 minutes to play in regulation. Nazareth would find the back of the goal four additional times in the final 15 minutes as junior
Alicia Franceschi and sophomore
Abbey Bentz each scored once and
Meghan Finn scored twice.
Nazareth had a 53-2 advantage in shots and an 11-0 advantage in corner kicks. Sophomore
Hillary Simon started the game for the Golden Flyers to earn the victory but she did not face a shot. Junior
Polly Muehlenkamp played the second half and recorded two saves. Amy Buisman played the entire game and finished with 20 saves in goal for the Saxons.
The Golden Flyers next host Hamilton in a non-conference game, September 20th at 12:30 p.m.
